I already talked about the Stanley Hotel. I do still plan on making a trip out there. It won't be next Halloween, you guys weren't kidding, that place fills up quick. On the one hand, I don't want to push it back another year, but I suppose there's no reason why I couldn't go at some other point in the year. I don't know, I'll see what works out. I'm definitely making a trip out there at some point though, mark my words. It's gonna happen.
In the meantime, if you want to see an investigation into the haunting that the hotel is notorious for, the Ghost Hunters actually devoted an episode into searching for ghostly activity back in 2006. They returned that Halloween for a follow up investigation.
I don't watch the show myself. I hear that their success rate isn't very good and apparently their methods are a bit iffy, but that's hearsay so I couldn't really recommend or detract the show. I'll need to keep an eye out for this episode in particular as I want to see what they come up with.
If you're impatient, you can go to Youtube to find bits and pieces of the specific episode. I'm not going to post them here for copyright reasons. They are on the site, and really, they're not difficult to find with a basic search.
I will say this, I learned that while 217 is famous for housing the best selling author, room 418 is where a good chunk of the ghostly activity takes place. I knew about the ballroom, but that information will be helpful for my vlog when I make the trip out there, whenever that may be.
