Dido: Thank You
The lyrics pretty much say it, "I want to thank you, for giving me the best day of my life". Giving thanks for the blessings we've been given is what Thanksgiving is all about. While it isn't about Thanksgiving specifically, it's concepts can easily be applied to it.
Adam Sandler: Thanksgiving Song
I don't know how this song couldn't make any Thanksgiving song list. I mean come on, it's right there in the title.
The Beatles: Come Together
Thanksgiving is a holiday that begets everyone getting together. The whole family gathers round the table to celebrate, eat a big meal, watch some football and fall asleep. The "me" in question that the singer refers to would of course refer to whoever is hosting the company.
Metallica: Blackened
If sitcoms are any indication, this is how the turkey will always end up. Oh, sure, whoever cooked it will try to pass it off as "Cajun" but we're all too smart for that, aren't we?
Tom Waits: We're All Mad Here
Families are insane, apparently all of them are because whenever you ask somebody, that is always their response. You love em, that's not in question but it doesn't change the fact that they're nuts.
Smashing Pumpkins: Jellybelly
After all the food you're going to be eating, don't be surprised if you start to develop one of these.
The Ramones: Blitzkrieg Bop
A rather rockin' song. It's one of those songs that members of both generations can enjoy. If you're hosting a large party this will be sure to get everyone riled up and excited.
Oasis: Champagne Supernova
Thanksgiving is a special time of the year, as such it calls for a special beverage. Champagne fits the bill perfectly.
2 more, this was more difficult then I thought, but I'm too close to quit now.
Nena: 99 Luftballoons
Ok this has absolutely nothing to do with Thanksgiving, but once you hear it, you'll realize that listening to it would make Thanksgivings a heck of a lot more fun and upbeat.
Earth, Wind, and Fire: Let's Groove
Like The Ramones, this song bridges the generation gap nicely and will get everyone moving.
