Details on "Full Dark, No Stars"

A new collection of short stories by Stephen King is set to be released in early November.  The collection will be called Full Dark, No Stars and it will be released on November 9th.

The cover image was just released today, but brief synopses for the four short stories contained within the book were released early last month and posted on Stephen King's home page.  The plot summaries offered are as follows

1922

The story opens with the confession of Wilfred James to the murder of his wife, Arlette, following their move to Hemingford, Nebraska onto land willed to Arlette by her father.

Big Driver

Mystery writer, Tess, has been supplementing her writing income for years by doing speaking engagements with no problems. But following a last-minute invitation to a book club 60 miles away, she takes a shortcut home with dire consequences.

Fair Extension

Harry Streeter, who is suffering from cancer, decides to make a deal with the devil but, as always, there is a price to pay.

A Good Marriage

Darcy Anderson learns more about her husband of over twenty years than she would have liked to know when she stumbles literally upon a box under a worktable in their garage."

If there are four works, doesn't that suggest that these are more like novellas as opposed to short stories?  Maybe it's just me being nitpicky, but there is a distinct difference between the two.  

Either way, it's something for King fans to look forward to.  It's true, November is quite a ways away, so it's best to put it to the back of your mind, but for those of you who have already torn through Under the Dome and Blockade Billy, you can rest easy in knowing that more new material is on the way.
