Daily Dose of Awesome: An Idiot Abroad

This travel series follows Karl Pilkington as he travels the globe and ends up having all sorts of misadventures.

In the first season, Karl was sent to visit the seven wonders of the world whereas in season 2, he had some say in where he went, going to places that were selected by fans as "bucket list" destinations.  In both cases, he doesn't adapt well.  In fact, part of the appeal of the series is seeing Karl get upset at the sort of things that he has to do.

Ricky Gervais, who heads up the series, seems to be aware of this as they go out of their way to send him to places that he'll hate.  Even trips that don't seem like they would be that bad are ruined by some sort of detour or complication that they intentionally setup just to tick Karl off.

It's a wonder that Karl puts up with it as he really is being trolled.  Even in those rare instances where he seems to enjoy visiting a certain locale, he is told to move along because he's "supposed to be working".

In any event, it does make for entertaining television.  Karl is oddly charming and makes for an interesting lead.

It's definitely worth checking out as you get to see some exotic locales and you get some decent laughs along the way.
