- Prequel issue and sketchbook make for interesting material for those who want more than a straight adaptation

- With no second volume, the story remains incomplete
- Plot arcs that took time in the original novel are blown through in surprising fashion.
Overall
It's a shame that the series never continued. As it is, if you're an ardent King fan, this is a decent addition to your bookshelf. For the casual reader though, you might be better off checking out some of the other comic adaptations.
