'Horns' Movie Review

Pros

- Very faithful adaptation that retains many plot elements from the book. The script was very well put together

- Strong performances from both main and supporting characters. 

- Movie does a great job of building up tension and atmosphere.



Cons

- Some of the supporting characters aren't given as much room to develop as they did in the book.  This becomes somewhat detrimental with certain plot elements.

- The mystical elements are downplayed, which is great for a gritty thriller, but the nature of the horns is under-developed.



Overall

This was a strong outing.  It had some setbacks, but it got a lot more right than it did wrong.  It kept me engaged and entertained for the full two hour run time.  I was quite satisfied with the results here.
