Polls show that fans are evenly divided over which book they want to see next

A few weeks back, Stephen King posted a poll on his website asking the constant readers what book they wanted to see next.  While he was promoting Under the Dome, King hinted that there were two potential upcoming projects that he was brainstorming.

The first was a sequel to The Shining called Dr. Sleep.  This would follow Danny Torrance after he had grown up into an adult.  King did say that fans shouldn't hold their breaths on this one as he was having trouble getting it down.

The second was another entry in the Dark Tower series.  The book is said to be called The Wind Through the Keyhole, and it will take place between Wizard and Glass and Wolves of the Calla. Interestingly enough, the synopsis King gives on his website is that it's not directly about Roland, but it does feature him hunting a skin-man (a werewolf) with Cuthbert.

Apparently, it was going to be a short story and King was planning on doing a collection of them, comparing it to a book of fairy tales (which is a pretty cool idea, I think).  King goes on to say that he kept adding pieces on, so he guesses it will be a novel.

Anywhoo, the poll results are in and after 11,117 votes were put in, the results were an even 50/50 split.  Now, I know, you're thinking that a 50/50 split is mathematically impossible with an odd number.  This is true, the site was kind enough to post the actual number of votes each option received.
